Ciprofibrato è un composto sintetico classificato come fibrato, utilizzato principalmente nella gestione della dislipidemia, in particolare per abbassare i livelli di trigliceridi e aumentare il colesterolo HDL (lipoproteine ad alta densità). La sua struttura chimica presenta un gruppo fenossilico e un gruppo acido carbossilico, che contribuiscono alle sue proprietà modulatrici dei lipidi.
