:Terconazolo
Descrizione:
Terconazolo è un agente antifungino utilizzato principalmente nel trattamento delle infezioni vaginali da lieviti causate da specie di Candida. Appartiene alla classe degli antifungini triazolici, che funzionano inibendo la sintesi dell'ergosterolo, un componente essenziale delle membrane cellulari fungine, interrompendo così la loro integrità e portando alla morte cellulare. Terconazole has a far greater selectively for yeast cytochrome P-450 than for mammalian microsomal cytochrome P-450 and is used as topical treatment of mycotic vaginitis.
