Methanediamine, N,N,N',N'-tetraethyl- is a molecule that contains an amino function. It is used to prepare samples for protein analysis and has antihistaminic activity. Methanediamine, N,N,N',N'-tetraethyl- also has the ability to crosslink proteins and to inactivate viruses and bacteria. Methanediamine, N,N,N',N'-tetraethyl- is an ether linkage with a particle size of approximately 1 micron. The molecule is stable at acidic pH levels and can withstand temperatures up to 150°C. This compound is also used in clinical studies as well as being a component of DNA sequences.
