Descrizione

Isobutyl acrylate is an aliphatic hydrocarbon that is used to treat wastewater. The product contains a functional group, which provides cross-linking capability and a polymerization initiator. Isobutyl acrylate will react with other compounds to form a cross-linked polymer film that can be used as a water treatment agent or in the production of adhesives, coatings, and sealants. This product also has been shown to have film-forming properties. Isobutyl acrylate reacts with butanol and glycol ethers to form polymers that are soluble in organic solvents or oils. It has been shown to be useful for coating surfaces in medical devices such as catheters that come into contact with bodily fluids. In addition, it has been found that exposure of this product to light can cause oxidation reactions leading to the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as singlet oxygen, peroxides, and superoxide
