Diphenylamine Hydrochloride is a piperidine hydrochloride that has been used in the production of pharmaceutical preparations. It has been shown to be an effective proton donor, and can be used to treat infectious diseases such as malaria. Diphenylamine Hydrochloride is also used for the treatment of cancer and is postulated to have a role in the development of fatty acids and aromatic hydrocarbons. The reaction mechanism is not yet fully understood, but it may involve the formation of a chloride intermediate from diphenylamine hydrochloride, which reacts with fatty acids or aromatic hydrocarbons to produce a variety of products.
