Descrizione

[(4-Nitrophenyl)amino]acetic acid is a fine chemical that is used as a building block in the production of many other organic compounds. It has been used as a reagent, intermediate, and scaffold in organic synthesis. When reacted with phenylmagnesium bromide, [(4-Nitrophenyl)amino]acetic acid forms an imine. This imine can be hydrolyzed by heating to form 4-nitrobenzoic acid. The compound also reacts with acrylonitrile to form a nitrile and then cyclizes to form 3-hydroxy-2-nitrobenzaldehyde.
