Alloimperatorin is a natural product that belongs to the class of diterpenoids. It has been shown to have chemotactic and cytotoxic effects on HL-60 cells, which may be due to its ability to reduce the mitochondrial membrane potential and induce cell lysis. Alloimperatorin also has anti-inflammatory activity and inhibits collagen production in cervical cancer cells. The antioxidant activity of alloimperatorin may derive from its ability to inhibit lipid peroxidation by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS). Alloimperatorin has also been shown to inhibit the growth of various human tumor cell lines, including colorectal, lung, breast, prostate, pancreatic, and ovarian carcinoma cells.
