Descrizione:
5-Bromotubercidin (5BT) is a picornavirus inhibitor that binds to the viral protein and inhibits protein synthesis. 5BT has been shown to be effective against herpes simplex virus, influenza virus, and other picornaviruses. 5BT also inhibits protein synthesis in cells, which may lead to cell death. It has been shown to inhibit ribosome synthesis and uptake of amino acids into cells, which leads to the inhibition of cell growth. 5BT may act by binding to the viral RNA polymerase, thereby inhibiting transcription and replication of viral DNA.
