2,3-Dimethyl-2H-indazole is a pyridyl growth factor with a carboxylic acid group at the 2 position. It has been shown to be an endothelial growth factor that has been used as a medicine for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. The compound binds to the receptor tyrosine kinase on endothelial cells and induces cell proliferation. This compound also inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2, which is associated with inflammation and tumor progression. The structural formula of 2,3-dimethyl-2H-indazole is C6H4N2O2.
