Descrizione:15-Ketocholestene is a natural product that inhibits the synthesis of cholesterol by binding to cholesterol esterase, preventing the breakdown of fatty acids. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on liver cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit sodium-dependent glucose uptake. 15-Ketocholestene has also been shown to reduce blood and liver cholesterol levels in Sprague-Dawley rats. The mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it has been speculated that this inhibition may be due to an alkylthio group or a carbonyl group. 15-Ketocholestene has also been shown to have anti-hepatitis effects.
