Informazioni sul prodotto
4-Hydroxy-13-cis-retinoic acid (4OH-RA) is the oxidation product of 13-cis retinoic acid, which is a natural metabolite of vitamin A. It has been shown to have antioxidant effects and inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo. 4OH-RA has also been shown to be an inhibitor of tumor angiogenesis and an inducer of apoptosis in cultured cells. The most potent form is 4OH-RA with a hydroxyanisole side chain, which was found to be more effective than the geometric isomer with an ethyl side chain. This metabolite binds to DNA and inhibits transcription, resulting in its anti-cancer properties.
