4-Amino-1-hydroxyadamantane is a synthetic compound that belongs to the group of drugs called aziridines. It has been used in clinical trials for the treatment of various cancers, and it has shown antiinflammatory properties. 4-Amino-1-hydroxyadamantane is effective as an antiinflammatory agent because it inhibits the production of retinoic acid by blocking the synthesis of cholesterol from acetate.
