Informazioni sul prodotto
5-Phenyl-1,3-oxazole-2-carboxylic acid is a compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by binding to a colchicine binding site. This site is located on the beta subunit of tubulin, which is involved in the polymerization of microtubules. Cancer cells are unable to form microtubules and grow. 5-Phenyl-1,3-oxazole-2-carboxylic acid binds to colchicine in a similar manner as colchicine binds to tubulin, thus preventing microtubule formation and inhibiting cancer cell proliferation. This molecule has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
