Descrizione

5β-Dihydrocortisol-d6 is a low potency steroid that has been used for the measurement of cortisol and cortisone levels in urine samples. It binds to the glucocorticoid receptors and inhibits their ability to regulate the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in cells. 5β-Dihydrocortisol-d6 has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of cancer cells, with a light emission that is higher than that of cortisol. The biological properties of this drug are similar to those of cortisol and it may be useful in treating autoimmune diseases such as choroidal neovascularization (CNV).
