- N-Benzyl-6-chloro-3-pyridazinamine
N-Benzyl-6-chloropyridazin-3-amine is a marine natural product that can be isolated from the sponge Dysidea herbacea. It has been shown to have potent cytotoxic activity against human colon cancer cells and also inhibits the growth of various bacterial strains, including methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). N-Benzyl-6-chloropyridazin-3-amine is an analog of oroidin, which has been shown to be effective against cancer in mice. This compound was also found to inhibit the production of nitric oxide by macrophages and erythrocytes.
