Descrizione

3-(Dibenzo[b,e]oxepin-11(6H)-ylidene)-N,N-dimethylpropan-1-amine is a tricyclic antidepressant drug that selectively inhibits the reuptake of serotonin. It also has antihistaminic and anticholinergic properties. 3-(Dibenzo[b,e]oxepin-11(6H)-ylidene)-N,N-dimethylpropan-1-amine is used to treat chronic urticaria (hives) and may be helpful for patients with idiopathic urticaria. This drug has a long half life and can be administered in controlled release preparations to minimize side effects such as daytime drowsiness. Side effects include dry mouth, constipation, urinary retention, blurred vision, and orthostatic hypotension.
