1-Propylpyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid is a synthetic antimicrobial agent that belongs to the group of analogs. This compound has reactive functional groups, which are responsible for its antimicrobial activity. It has been shown that 1-propylpyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid inhibits collagen synthesis in bacteria and suppresses the growth of mutant strains.
