Informazioni sul prodotto
1-Ethyl 4-methyl piperidine-1,4-dicarboxylate (EMPD) is a novel drug for the treatment of bladder dysfunction. EMPD is a neurotransmitter that binds to nerve fibres and regulates the activity of these fibres. EMPD has been shown to have an anisotropic effect on the microstructure of nerves, which may be due to its ability to visualise nerve fibres. EMPD has been shown to be safe and well tolerated in women with stress urinary incontinence.
EMPD is also used as a tool for analyzing nerve fibre function. Techniques such as visualisation, microstructural analysis, and measuring the distance between two points can be used to explore how EMPD affects neural function.
