Nifenazone is an anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the group of pharmacological agents. It is used in the treatment of chronic arthritis and other inflammatory diseases. Nifenazone blocks the production of prostaglandins, which are hormone-like substances that cause inflammation. The drug has been shown to be effective against various infectious diseases, such as bacterial infections and flu, by inhibiting the activity of enzymes such as creatine kinase. Nifenazone is a pyrazole derivative with a nitrogen atom in its structure. It binds to target tissue through hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interactions. Nifenazone is used to treat allergic reactions due to its ability to block histamine release from mast cells and basophils.
