Mesityleneruthenium(II) Chloride Dimer is a crystalline solid with the chemical formula C14H8Cl2. It can be soluble in mesitylene, ethyl ether and benzene. Mesityleneruthenium(II) Chloride Dimer is a reagent that can be used for transfer hydrogenation reactions. It is also used as a catalyst for asymmetric hydrogenation reactions to produce chiral alcohols, amino acids and amines. Mesityleneruthenium(II) Chloride Dimer is stable at room temperature and does not decompose at any temperature up to about 350°C.
