Informazioni sul prodotto
N-{4-[(6-Methoxyquinolin-8-yl)amino]pentyl}acetamide is a synthetic quinoline derivative that has been shown to have antimalarial activity in vitro and in vivo. In the rat liver microsomes, it was found to be an inhibitor of carboxyprimaquine 4’-O-deethylase, but not antipyrine N-demethylase or ethoxyresorufin O-deethylase. The deamination of this drug by rat liver homogenates resulted in the formation of two isomers, one with a reversed stereochemistry and the other with a normal stereochemistry. This drug also showed reversible inhibition of sporozoite motility in mosquitoes.
