Informazioni sul prodotto
4-Methoxyquinolin-8-ol is a radiotracer that has been used in the study of Alzheimer’s disease. The compound is synthesized from 4-hydroxyquinoline and 8-methoxyquinoline. It can be used to measure the activity of catalytic hydrogenation, which is an enzyme that converts amines into alcohols. Transgenic mice with a mutation in the human APP gene were injected with 4-methoxyquinolin-8-ol to measure their brain levels of amyloid beta peptides, which are linked to Alzheimer's disease. The compound was also used as a catalyst for transgenic mouse production, yielding high yields of transgenic mice without uncorrected errors. This agent has been shown to have a high purity and low fluoride content, making it suitable for use in experiments on rats.
