Descrizione:B8R (20-27) is derived from the B8R protein, a virulence factor of the poxvirus. Due to B8R being a homolog of the extracellular domain of the IFN- γ receptor, B8R can bind to and prevent IFN- γ from binding to its receptor. IFN- γ has antiviral activity against encephalomyocarditis virus and the vesicular stomatitis virus is inhibited when B8R is expressed.
