Descrizione:Cntf is a cytokine that belongs to the family of neurotrophins. It is a ligand for the receptor c-ret, which is expressed in cells of the central and peripheral nervous system. The Cntf protein can be used as an activator or inhibitor in cell biology and pharmacology research. The Cntf mouse has been created by fusing a human c-ret gene with a mouse agouti gene. This mouse has high levels of Cntf protein and can be used to study the effects of this protein on ion channels, cell biology, and other areas of research.
