Informazioni sul prodotto
- 4-(4-Cyanophenoxy)methoxybenzene
- 4-Cyano-4'-methoxydiphenyl ether
4-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)benzonitrile is an organic compound that is used as a catalyst in organic synthesis, specifically for coupling reactions. This compound is prepared by the reaction of copper with phenols and catalytic hydrogenation of the resulting copper oxide. The catalyst can also be prepared by coupling 4-methoxybenzaldehyde with phenol using an aryl halide as a base catalyst or by treating copper oxide with ethers or halides. In addition, this catalyst has been found to be more efficient than other catalysts in certain oxidation reactions.
