Bis-dPEG®9-PFP Ester is an activator of protein interactions that is used as a research tool. It has the CAS No. 1334170-00-1 and belongs to the class of ligands. Bis-dPEG®9-PFP Ester binds to receptor sites on cells, thereby activating ion channels and controlling the flow of ions across cell membranes. This also occurs in other cells, such as those found in the central nervous system, which are involved in pain sensation. The pharmacology of this compound has not been investigated yet, but it is thought that this drug may inhibit protein synthesis by binding to ribosomes and preventing them from translating mRNA into proteins.
