Descrizione:
3-Methyl-2-furoic acid is a heterocycle that is used in the synthesis of azelaic acid and nicotine. It is also used as an analytical reagent for the separation of halides by liquid chromatography, as well as for the separation of aldehydes. 3-Methyl-2-furoic acid has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects on inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, and could be used as an antibiotic against bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotics.
