Dicyclohexylamine hydrochloride is an enzyme inhibitor that inhibits the activity of p-nitrophenyl phosphate reductase and phosphodiesterase. It is used as a research tool to study the role of these enzymes in energy metabolism, locomotor activity, and x-ray crystal structures. This drug also has inhibitory properties against P-glycoprotein (P-gp) and may be a potential inhibitor for the treatment of human cancers. Dicyclohexylamine hydrochloride is chemically stable and has been shown to have inhibitory effects on nitrogen atoms in the experimental model.
