Informazioni sul prodotto
Phenanthrenemethanol is a drug that belongs to the class of antimalarial drugs. It is classified as a quinolone and has a high affinity for the parasite's mitochondrial membranes, leading to vacuole formation and an increase in permeability. Phenanthrenemethanol can also act as a blood pressure-lowering agent, which is due to its ability to inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). This drug has been shown to have some toxic effects on tissues at higher doses. Phenanthrenemethanol is soluble in water but insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol or acetone.
