Descrizione:
6-Methoxy-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-one is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the activity of cholinesterase and thereby cause hypertrophy of heart tissue. This compound has also been shown to activate the HIF prolyl hydroxylases, which regulate the levels of oxygen in tissues. In addition, 6-methoxy-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1 one inhibits HIF prolyl hydroxylases in cancer cells with hypoxia. This compound was synthesized from allyl alcohol and acetoacetic acid.
