Informazioni sul prodotto
5-Hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H-chromene-6-carbaldehyde is a synthetic compound that can be used to treat cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells and induce apoptosis in vitro. 5-Hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H-chromene-6-carbaldehyde also inhibits proliferation of esophageal cancer cells in culture by inducing morphological changes. This compound is metabolized into 5,6 dihydroxylated derivatives through esterases or cytochrome P450 enzymes in vivo. The metabolites bind to chloride channels on the cell membrane, which leads to an increase in chloride conductance and depolarization of the cell membrane.
