Informazioni sul prodotto
N-Benzyl-6-chloro-5-nitropyrimidin-4-amine is a pyridine derivative that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the cell cycle. It binds to DNA and forms a covalent bond with the nucleotide base thymine. This inhibits the formation of a phosphodiester bond between adjacent nucleotides, which prevents DNA replication and transcription. Naphthalene, pyrimidine ring, and pyridyl rings are all part of this molecule’s structure. The molecule contains three asymmetric carbon atoms, one of which is located at the center of the molecule in a dihedral angle in relation to two other asymmetric carbons that form dimers. These dimers stabilize the molecule’s conformation by reducing its potential for torsional strain.
