3-(2,6-Difluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole is a multimetallic coordination compound that contains an apical ligand with a c-h bond. The ligand is arene and the metal ion is iodosobenzene. This ligand binds to the metal ion through a double bond, which is symmetric. The ligand has one electron that can be transferred to the metal ion. The electronic structure of this molecule is postulated to be a combination of two photosystems: one being an octahedral and the other being square planar. 3-(2,6-Difluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole has been used as an experimental inorganic ligand for binding to transition metals such as copper and silver.
