Informazioni sul prodotto
5-Bromo-7,7-dimethyl-7H-benzo[c]fluorene is a synthetic intermediate that can be used in the synthesis of other organic compounds. 5-Bromo-7,7-dimethyl-7H-benzo[c]fluorene is typically prepared by the reaction of bromine with 7,7-dimethylbenzo[c]fluorene at an ionic exchange resin at a temperature of 120°C and for a time period of 2 hours. The optimum catalyst for this reaction is pyridine, which should be added at a concentration of 0.5 M. This chemical can also be synthesized by reacting bromine with 7,7,8,8,-tetrabromobenzocyclopentadienone at an amberlyst 15 resin and in the presence of potassium hydroxide and tetrahydrofuran.
