Informazioni sul prodotto
- Benzaldehyde, 3-Methoxy-5-Nitro-
3-Methoxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde is an antibacterial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit and prevents transcription and replication. This drug also has a toxic effect on respiratory system cells, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis. 3-Methoxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde binds to bacterial 16S ribosomal RNA and inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. It is active against S. aureus, but not against acid-fast bacteria such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis or Mycobacterium avium complex.
