Beloranib hemioxalate is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme kinase that plays a crucial role in protein regulation. It is an analog of oxytocin, a hormone involved in human reproductive and social behaviors. Beloranib hemioxalate has been shown to induce apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells, making it a promising anticancer agent. It inhibits tumor growth by arresting the cell cycle at the G2/M phase and suppressing angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels).
