N-Allyl-N-cyclopentylamine is a monomer that belongs to the group of organic compounds. It has a phase transition temperature of -11°C and functional groups such as C=C and C=N. N-Allyl-N-cyclopentylamine is used in coatings, diluents, solvents, and pharmaceuticals. Inorganic silicon can be dissolved in N-allyl-N-cyclopentylamine to produce anhydrous silicon dioxide films with excellent uniformity. The chemical's high vapor pressure also makes it useful for removing water from organic solvent solutions. This chemical has shown potential for use in the treatment of tuberculosis, due to its ability to kill M. tuberculosis at low concentrations without harming surrounding tissues.
