N-(4-Acetylphenyl)-2-bromoacetamide (NAP-2BA) is a hybridized compound that inhibits the activity of cytochrome P450 isozymes and Bcl-2 proteins. It has been shown to have significant anti-inflammatory properties and has been studied for its anti-cancer potential in pancreatic cancer cells. NAP-2BA interacts with the Cox-1 enzyme, which is involved in the metabolism of coxibs and NSAIDs. NAP-2BA also has a strong effect on cell growth inhibition and apoptosis induction, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cyclin D1 synthesis.
