2-Amino-5-bromobenzaldehyde is a molecule that contains a protonated amino group. This molecule has been shown to have an active site that can bind to acetonitrile, which is a type of solvent. The magnetic resonance spectra of 2-amino-5-bromobenzaldehyde show the presence of two isomers: one with the amino group in the protonated form and one with the amino group in the deprotonated form.
