Informazioni sul prodotto
- 3-Pyridinecarboxamide, 5-Amino-
- 5-Aminonicotinamide
5-Amino-3-pyridinecarboxamide is an analog of nicotinamide that has been shown to have tumor-modulating activity. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in a maximally tolerated dose and inhibits hypoxic tumor growth. 5-Amino-3-pyridinecarboxamide is also structurally related to 6-methylmercaptopurine, which has been shown to induce tumor regression, but without the toxic side effects of 6-methylmercaptopurine. Studies have shown that 5-amino-3 pyridinecarboxamide inhibits the proliferation of breast cancer cells by inhibiting riboside synthesis, which may be due to its structural similarity to adriamycin, an antitumor antibiotic.
