2-Amino-N-cyclohexyl-acetamide is a potent, specific and selective glycine site ligand that has been synthesized using a glycinamide scaffold. It binds to the glycine binding site of the NMDA receptor, inhibiting its activity. 2-Amino-N-cyclohexyl-acetamide also has potent inhibitory effects on ligand binding to the glycine site and it may be useful in designing novel compounds for treating neurological disorders.
