2-Amino-3-Chloro-4-Picoline is a pyridine that has been shown to have antiproliferative activity in vitro. 2-Amino-3-Chloro-4-Picoline has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of prostate cancer cells, PC3 cells, by binding to aromatic amines on the cell surface and inhibiting the formation of reactive oxygen species. This compound has high yields and can be synthesized from amines with environmentally friendly conditions.
2-Amino-3-Chloro-4-Picoline is used as an anticancer drug in vitro. It is synthesized by microwave irradiation and induces apoptosis in cultured PC3 cells by generating reactive oxygen species.
