• Descrizione: Aflatoxin G1 is a mycotoxin that is produced by the fungus Aspergillus flavus. Aflatoxin G1 induces DNA damage and mutations, inactivates enzymes such as alcohol dehydrogenase, and inhibits protein synthesis. Aflatoxin G1 also stimulates tumor growth by enhancing the production of cytokines and chemokines, including IL-8, TNF-α, IL-6, and GMCSF. This toxin has been shown to increase antitumor immunity through toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) activation.
