Ampalex is a drug that has been shown to have neurotrophic properties and is used in the treatment of bowel disease. Ampalex is a peptide that has been shown to have pharmacological effects on locomotor activity, including an increase in movement of the head, neck, and limbs. It is also thought to have an effect on neurotransmitters such as glutamate. Ampalex has been shown to reduce neuronal death by inhibiting the activity of glutamate-induced excitotoxicity. The structure of ampalex was determined using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. It was found that ampalex contains two nitrogen atoms in its structure and that it adopts a beta-turn conformation.
