(1S,2S)-2-Aminocyclohexanecarboxylic Acid is a cyclic compound that belongs to the class of model compounds. It is a solid phase analogue of tricyclic compounds and has been used as a spacer in cyclized ring systems. The (1S,2) diastereomer can be prepared by cyclization of the corresponding acyclic compound. The racemic mixture can be produced by stereoselective synthesis or by resolution of the diastereomers.
