Descrizione

3-Acetyl-beta-boswellic acid is a compound found in the Chinese medicine formula, Boswellia serrata. It has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis and to have anti-inflammatory properties. 3-Acetyl-beta-boswellic acid has also been shown to be effective against cancer cells in culture and leukemia cells. The mechanism of action for this compound is not fully understood, but it has been shown to have activity against multidrug resistant cells. This compound is chemically similar to taxol, which inhibits cell division by stabilizing microtubules.
