Informazioni sul prodotto
Adipokinetic hormone (AKH) is a peptide hormone in the class of adipokinetic hormones. AKH is secreted by the hypothalamus and acts on receptors in the brain, stomach, and intestines to stimulate food intake. AKH has been shown to have effects on energy metabolism, including regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism. It also regulates locomotor activity and induces sublethal doses of toxicity in experimental models. Adipokinetic hormone is a model system for studying human pathogens that cause metabolic disorders such as obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and atherosclerosis. The transfer reactions between adipokinetic hormones are not well understood.
