Informazioni sul prodotto
Atriopeptin I is a natriuretic peptide that belongs to the group of peptide hormones. It is synthesized by the atrial myocardium and has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth in vitro. The biological function of this peptide is not clear, but it has been shown to have an effect on the metabolism of fatty acids and amino acids in cell culture experiments. Atriopeptin I also binds to receptors on myeloma cells and inhibits their growth. This peptide can be used as a diagnostic agent for various infectious diseases, such as Stenotrophomonas maltophilia.
