Informazioni sul prodotto
- 5-Allyl-2-Hydroxy-3-Methoxybenzaldehyde
- Benzaldehyde, 2-Hydroxy-3-Methoxy-5-(2-Propen-1-Yl)-
5-Allyl-2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde is an organic compound that has been shown to be a ligand for the protein thymus. It is synthesized by the reaction of allyl alcohol with 3-methoxyphenol in the presence of zinc metal, which acts as a catalyst. The reaction yields high yields of 5-allyl-2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde and can be enhanced by the addition of fluorescers, such as quinones. This compound also has an interesting property in that it can coordinate metal ions such as molybdenum.
