Informazioni sul prodotto
2-Amino-4-fluoroheptanoic acid is an ester that is used in organic synthesis. It can be prepared by alkylation of the aminoacetic acid with hydrochloric acid and triethylbenzylammonium chloride. The reaction yields 2-amino-4-fluoroheptanoic acid as a white solid, which can be purified by recrystallization from chloroform and methanol. This product is soluble in water, ethanol, and methanol but not ethyl acetate or ether. The citric acid is used as a transfer catalyst to produce the glycinate salt of 2-amino-4-fluoroheptanoic acid, which has a melting point of about 160°C. The synthesis of 2-amino-4-fluoroheptanoic acid can also be achieved using phase transfer catalysis with methylene chloride as solvent and anhydrous conditions at 0°
